| Ideal | May 29, 2020 @ 9:36am May 29, 2020 | Fantastic. Not a typical MTB trail by contemporary standards, but undeniably satisfies the terms of the Mountain+Bike=Awesome equation. GPS extremely useful for the first time rider as the trailhead is located in a quagmire of old mining roads. 100% worth the push. Not the most daunting elevation at first glance, but it’s all in one whack. You go up, then go up some more. Benefit of that of course is the descent is virtually uninterrupted. The views are the most outstanding feature of this ride. Unique point of view for this region. Can’t recommend this one enough. Current trail conditions were perfect. (Stick to the hiking trail, the double track is heavily rutted and negates any climbing advantage usually associated with service roads.) View from the top is too satisfying to miss. | ||
