May 27, 2020 Buckle Down Trail Report

Over the past month Lysterfield Park has experienced significant heavy rainfall and peak summer period level visitation. This has caused very muddy conditions and a rapidly deteriorating track condition. To prevent further damage and ensure trail sustainability, all single-track mountain bike trails will be temporarily closed from midday May 28 2020. The trails will be reopened following maintenance and drier conditions. All management vehicle trails remain open for mountain bike riding. Unlike many other mountain bike networks, trail closures are a rare occurrence at Lysterfield Park and typically only occur for about 48 hours or less due to either extreme weather or an event.
