Jun 05, 2020 Jarvis Lake Trail Trail Report

The trail was moderately well maintained. There were a number of downed trees, but nothing actually blocking the trail. It is very rooty in some sections, and very boggy in others. Still other sections are gravelly (including of course the section of roadway that the trail briefly follows). There are also some pretty steep climbs. My biggest issue is that it is not well signed, which led to me going off course. Good thing I checked Trailforks - but too bad I didn’t do it sooner. There aren’t a lot of longer trails in the area, so if camping at Switzer you might want to try it, but it wasn’t my favourite trail...
