Be prepared to encounter a bear at any time in this area: - All food, pet food and anything with odours must always be closely attended or stored securely in food storage lockers. -Dishes and containers with food residue should be cleaned immediately and stored securely in food storage lockers. - Keep your clothing, sleeping gear, and tent free of food odours and other scented items. - Only burn wood in the fire pit, never food scraps or food containers. - Everything packed in, must be packed out. - Be vigilant and watch for fresh bear signs (e.g. tracks and droppings). - Keep a distance of at least 100 meters from bears. - Carry bear spray and know how to use it. - Keep pets on leash and under physical control (no pets permitted in area between July 10 – September 15) - Supervise children at all times.
