Firstly, can we thank you all for your patience whilst the harvesting operations have been underway. Your co-operation in keeping out of the operational area has been hugely appreciated. Although the harvesting operation has gone smoothly not all the work has been completed, therefore the contractors will be returning in late summer to complete the small amount of work left to do.
We have drawn up a map illustrating the area where wild trails can be reinstated, please do not reinstate any wild trails outside of this zone. You will also find the odd barrier still in place, we haven't forgotten them - they are there for a reason so please do not reopen those particular wild trails. Any plans for new wild trails please speak to FC first.
We're very grateful to the TRC representatives (Lee Carter, Pete Ford, Emma Braithwaite and Dan Brice) who continue to work with us and represent your interests. A lot of work has been done to build relationships with other forest users and it is crucial that the reinstatement of wild trails doesn't go beyond what has been agreed. If you have any queries please contact any of the above for advice or call into the FC Office.
