Slickrock Trail: Oak Creek Trail Report - Very Dry - Jun 13, 2020

This is an ATV trail for ATV's less than 50" wide. The scenery is unique and beautiful, but it is almost 100% soft dirt or very fine white sand and much of it has loose rock churned up by the ATV's. We are strong riders and rode over 90% of it as an out and back. It was tough. There are two barb wire gates that must be opened and then closed along the way. And just FYI. At the top of this trail, at the junction with the Rosebud ATV trail, Slickrock Trail continues north as a non-motorized trail. We went along it for a short distance. Again the scenery was great, but the trail was mostly the fine white sand. There was actually a bit of white "slickrock". We turned around before going very far.
