Very brushy in spots. 6 trees down in the first mile. Only rode to just past the boulder field then turned around. view

Recently cleared this season. There is overgrown vegetation, but definitely rideable (if you're in really good shape). view

Anyone know why this trail hasn't been maintained? It would make for a nice loop with Petersen Creek and Alpine 7. Can I just hike up there with a chainsaw and clear the trees?

Technically you need a chainsaw cert from them to run a saw on FS land. But as the report said, not a lot of maintenance on that trail. Moto's clear trees all the time! Make sure you follow fire restrictions, and have a spark arrestor in your saw!

Biked up there with an axe only to find it's already been cleared! Stoked to ride the loop with Quitonken and Alpine 7 soon.
