Description:
Trail is clear and in good shape, relatively tough up with the heat, but super fun down. Don’t forget your gloves and long socks on the way down - fair amount of brush whacking on the bottom section. Trail would benefit with more bike use. Until the weather cools, maybe leave the dogs at home in the afternoon on these hotter days. No water up there and it is pretty toasty.

Rattlesnake at 7860 feet in one of the cairns along the open meadow traverse. Very surprised to see a rattler that high. view
