Aug 22, 2020 Right Fork Maple Canyon Trail Report

Not many bugs, just a few flies at the summit. No water in the lake near the top. We started at 6:00 am in the dark, and it was cool and nice most of the way up, above the tree line it was warm. The descent was warm, but the trail is in the shade much of the time. Glad I had good shoes as the trail is so very rocky, and at the top it’s dusty and slippery on the descent. A very rigorous hike, not for the faint of heart!
