Description:
Surface is presently tacky and great to ride on, but there are about 200 trees between the California start and the peak of Crane Mountain. I trim some small branches from quite a few trees, but much of the horizontal timber across the trail is a significant size. The forest is open enough to route around difficult obstructions. I averaged 3.5 km/h from the miners cabin up to the Crane mountain peak. There are a few scattered snow drifts near the top.
