Jun 25, 2021 Valley View Trail Report

DA did a decent job on the new ditches above the trail to divert the water. Seed and straw was placed and some TSA was restored. However, they did not do a great job of restoring the TSA...we need to go back and add water / tamp and even fill in some spots. IMO, swale just above the intersection should have been extended all the way to pond. I'm betting that rain water will funnel to end of this swale and turn downhill and run across trail at intersection (better than before at least). Side of trail tread not fixed on turn below intersection (no dirt on shoulder to support TSA, so TSA is still falling away and off camber). On the next turn down, the downhill edge is still below grade which will cause water to rip straight down the TSA. Looks like we'll have to fix these ourselves.
