Clear of deadfall. Fairly bad moto-ruts and erosion on the steep parts in the top half, but the lower half of the trail is in pretty good shape. view

 Some info on the shuttle. It is 17.5 miles from the Wagonhammer parking lot to the look out. Expect it to take 45 minutes to an hour one way. I would suggest parking at the intersection 4 miles before the lookout. By then you have gotten most of the climb out of the way. The remained of the road climb is reasonable and the last mile is flat to downhill. Driving, the last 4 miles took me 15 minutes but plan on 20 minutes. Riding it will take to 30-40 minutes, but you will cut your shuttle time by 1/3. Overall the time riding versus shuttling from there would be a wash and wouldn't you rather be riding rather than sitting in the backseat on a narrow FS road with exposure?
