Description:
Overgrown terribly. Nobody seems to ride this trail, ever. The actual surface is good for that reason, but everything above ground is overgrown. Vines, stickers, hitch hikers, even things growing in the trail.
It is a par trail in ideal conditions, but not worth showing up for, obviously nobody does show up.
Do not even hike it.
If you lived right there and wanted to carry tools you could probably rehab the trail over a few months, but it needs a lot of pruning.
The western trail head is covered in kudzu and at least I was riding and able to keep my feet higher than most snakes can strike, literally I was hopeful to just be able to see where to go.
From the Eastern side it is still hard to follow. Keep an eye for rotten 4x4 wood post that should have an arrow on them, some do, some do not. On second thought, stay home and dont worry about trying to find your way slowly.
If you do venture out wear long sleeves and long pants or you will get ripped to shreds.
