Description:
Good news, Lost lake is now a two lanefire road! Someone has ripped up the trail and it is a dusty mess above teddy bear. It's going to be great when the rain come and turns it into a creek bed.

From FOSS's FB page; This week, volunteers worked with Herb Blamire, our heavy equipment operator, starting on Lost Lake Trail at the very top of Hromek near the private gate up to Scarlet’s Loop. Herb then worked his way down Lost Lake Trail from the yellow post at Priest Creek all the way down to Salamander Trail where work ended today. This work has taken the entire week under the direction of Milt Stevenson and Herb Blamire. Work will continue in the next week or two from Salamander further down Lost Lake Trail. This is a major project for erosion mitigation, run-off control and to improve safety in the park (access for Search & Rescue). Until we have a significant rainfall or snowfall to compact the trail, the surface will be loose, especially for mountain bikers. Please don't grumble!!! It will be short term pain for long term gain!! Thank you again to the Central Okanagan Foundation for its generous grant for this project.
The bridge on Fairlane Loop has been removed and we are expecting delivery of cast concrete blocks in preparation for the new bridge which will be helicoptered in from the city's Priest Creek Linear Park later this fall.
