Oct 01, 2021 Palisade Plunge Trail Report

Hard to call this fun. Certainly an adventure, but far from the definition of good MTB riding. The historic switchbacks at the top are novel and there are some good sections in the first 11 miles but they are short and interspersed with janky rock. At ~11 miles the trail starts the major descent, the narrow and loose tread combined with the extreme exposure make this more of an exercise in concentration than a fun ride. The next trail, plunge lower, is fun and technical in spots.
