Description:
The trail goes through El Dorado County Land that is destined to become part of the Pine Hill Preserve and ends near Rasmussen Pond (aka Pine Hill Preserve Reservoir) The pond and the last part of the trail is on private land. At present the trail is not maintained by any agency. Some locals keep it passable.
The private area around the pond is presently up for sale and could covered with 400 houses.
A group has been formed in an attempt to preserve this land for public use and has set up a website:
