  • Prevalent Mud - trail use not recommended, trail damage likely

Description:
The dirt switchbacks are absolutely mangled by the hikers. Hikers need to stay off this trail and respect the fact the trail was not built for feet. While on the subject, better signage that is not all wishy washy needs to be out up designated up trails as such and DH trails as such. Bike trails as such and mixed use trails as such. If other jurisdictions can do it then West Kelowna should be able to do it as well. It is downright dangerous to have hikers and bikers meet on some of these trails.

Agreed. However, this trail has been listed on All Trails app for hiking in counter clockwise direction (uphill) so that's where the problem is. If you read the trail reports there, the hikers complain that the mountain bikes chew up the trail!!! Ironic....

When I made thia report last fall, I should have taken some pictures. What the hikers did to it atthat point was incredible. It was so mangled. Chewed to shit by digging feet in.
