Description:
This trail no longer connects from the Higuera Blanca side to the Sayulita side. A new fence with “no trespassing” signs and dense forest growth have erased what looks like what was a way through on old sat photos. Instead, the trail terminates at the peak of Monkey Mountain which requires scrambling to summit. Might be possible to scramble to the trail terminus on the Sayulita side. For mountain biking it was a pretty awful trail trashed by horses and cattle. Brutal bushwhacking and hike-a-bike. Not many rideable sections up or down. Unfortunate, looked like one of the few longer loops you could theoretically ride from Sayulita as a loop; even if it involved being on the highway for a good stint.
