mtb The bottom of the trail is better accessed on the road from Hacienda Jaqueline. But 1.5 kms up, the trail cuts across private property and there is no way around it. Don't be an ass and try to cross private property. As of yesterday, the Sayulita side of this trail doesn't truly exist Variableview

mtb Trail ran this from Sayulita on the north side. Not bikeable. It is possible on foot but at the start of the trail you have to cut right under some wire fence along a creekbed to get by some private property. There were also two sets of barking dogs. The first (at the wire fence) didn’t seem overly friendly. Then it’s a bushy jungle walk to the top. We went down the trail on the south side - definitely the way to go it’s a real trail and a guy selling coconuts at the start. Dryview

mtb This trail no longer connects from the Higuera Blanca side to the Sayulita side. A new fence with “no trespassing” signs and dense forest growth have erased what looks like what was a way through on old sat photos. Instead, the trail terminates at the peak of Monkey Mountain which requires scrambling to summit. Might be possible to scramble to the trail terminus on the Sayulita side. For mountain biking it was a pretty awful trail trashed by horses and cattle. Brutal bushwhacking and hike-a-bike. Not many rideable sections up or down. Unfortunate, looked like one of the few longer loops you could theoretically ride from Sayulita as a loop; even if it involved being on the highway for a good stint. Dryview

mtb Trail involves going through about 3 gates and a few herds of rather stubborn, intimidating cattle. Easy to get off of trail and into thick jungle at a couple spots - nice to have the trailforks app! Dryview
