Description:
Speaking to some locals, access to Matipo park is a bit contentious. Apparently the adjacent landowner doesn’t like it (not that it’s on their land), the bridge has been deemed unsafe, and there is a dodgy crossing of the main trunk line. You can get in, but it’s not fully straightforward. Some cool tracks once you get in to the park proper.
