Description:
Trail report as of Feb 27 2022. Trail was ridden from the Noon Creek Connector out and back to the junction with Noon Creek Ridge Trail and then from the junction with Noon Creek Trail out and back to the first ridge crossing headed toward Gibson Canyon Trail. The trail is overgrown with grass from the 2021 Monsoon as well as loose rocks moved around by water. The O/B section toward Swift Trail needs to be trimmed back and some light tread work down. Also some tight corners could be widened. That said this section of trail has great flow and is super fun. When you get to the creek crossing/pools section of RTM keep an eye out for cairns and you'll need to hike a bike up through the rocks to where the dirt tread continues. This is a newer reroute. It seems someone has bypassed the older section that went through bramble and a DIY ladder bridge.

The section from Noon Creek #302A intersection up to the pass/ridge is steep. 1400 Vertical feet in 2 miles. The tread needs to be cleaned up i.e. re-benched in many spots, rocks removed and raked out. There are few sections with some significant exposure as you get higher up. That said the trail descending has good contours for MTB. Though it's a technical steep trail. Have talked to hikers in the area and the trail becomes more overgrown between the ridge and the Gibson Trail intersection. Still need to do a proper scout to Gibson Trail #308, down Gibson and back the forest road to the Swift Hwy.

After you cross the creek, Majatilda creek, is that close?, yo have maybe a quarter of mile of trail, and, then, you are facing nothingness . You could Garmin over to the Gibson trail, but you may be facing just bushwhack city. But, it is such a super way to climb Mt Graham, I sure hope some ️ men take it on and blaze the trail back.

@RockinronnieF I don't think RTM is clear beyond Deadman Peak Trail Intersection. There are supposed to be crews working it this summer and next to try to get up to Columbine.
