Description:
Slightly overgrown in places with 36 downed trees over the trail. (Most are easily crossed some you wouldn't even notice but I counted every tree a trail crew would remove if they worked the trail), There's about 5 that require minor climbing/circumnavigating. Saw 3 separate groups of people on a Saturday totaling a total of 10 people from car to car on the trail. Great place to get away on busy weekends. Lots of empty campgrounds on the road to the trailhead so come over the night before camp and then hit the trail in the morning to make a very pleasant trip. Trail side water at the beginning and about 3/4 of the way up so no concerns if you have purifier or dogs. Panoramic views from the 7K summit are impressive and well worth the effort.
