"Starting Tuesday September 13th, Baxter Trucking & Bridges will be replacing two 100 year old culverts. The first one is located near the 1 km marker and the 2nd is near the trail head at the legion. The new 24 foot bridges will look similar to the one in the picture. Replacement will take 3 - 4 days at each site at which time the trail will be closed in the area where the contractor is working. The eastern end of the trail, east of Pine Hill Dr to Musquodoboit Harbour Parking will remain open. Please follow/like our page to keep up to date with daily progress reports, pictures, closures and openings.
This major project has been two years in the making. SATA Trails society would like to thank our funding partners, HRM, Trans Canada Trails and Province of Nova Scotia."
