Oct 30, 2022 Poleta Canyon Road Trail Report

We shuttled and hit black canyon road to poleta canyon to poleta canyon road. The top section is fun with the exception of the loose 1300 ft climb. Once you start into Poleta canyon, it is absolutely awesome. A little loose, but full speed technical fun. After you cross the lower south branch, the last section of Poleta canyon was a surprisingly exposed narrow section of singletrack. We had to walk are bikes through on section that had some sketchy scree. After that, once you hit the road, it was loose junk for miles. If you try to ditch the road for the washes, it's a bit of a maze, and not much better conditions. This was end of summer, so other times of year might not be as loose through the end section. Overall great experience, and killer views, highly recommend.
