Description:
First mile pretty packed down by showshoes. Remaining 2 miles path is clear but not as packed. Used gortex running shoes with gaiters and spikes for traction and managed just fine! Started to get sloppy by midday.

Desert section fine when frozen. Above the snow line in the trees the trail is ice flows and very dangerous. Ice is hidden in many places. view
