Description:
Finally rode Three Tree Butte both up and down, and it wasn't particularly fun. There's some mandatory hike-a-bike sections on the way up (unless you're the world's greatest climber) and a few difficult climbs on the way back down.
Still, the value of Three Tree Butte is that it lets you get up to the Palouse Divide Road without having to go up and over into another valley from Giant White Pine.
There were 3x trees down across the trail. Talked with a ranger who was on his way to do maintenance (with a trail-cat) on the Old Sampson Road connector. Hopefully they'll make it to Three Tree Butte soon.
