Description:
A hidden gem around Dunedin, an amazing trail to explore. Stunning views full of lush native bush and teeming with all kinds of native birds that are easy to spot and hear. Even saw a deer along the trail today.

The trail is generally in quite good condition, only a couple of low branches and sticks around. Expect to carry your bike a fair amount as there's a few gates, creeks (feet shouldn't get wet), and muddy bogs to traverse, so I don't recommend heavy ebikes or bikes you can't lift easily for that reason. Didn't encounter much stinging nettle but may want some thicker trousers just in case. Some slick roots and rocks in the wet but nothing too serious.

All in all an awesome adventure, just expect to get a bit mucky and have a blast.
