Description:
Rode to the top of Mahoney road on Saturday. Still significant snow pack for the road climb and the top section of the trail to the lookout and over the back side in the snow shadow. 2-3 feet of snow made for nasty hike a bike - logging operations were active and we wanted out of the way - trucker said bikes went by all the time so we thought we would give it a try...(probably thinking last season). Lower section from AandW loop and bucket was great but some trees down. Loved it so much, went back 3 days later to ride bucket loop to the lower 3/4 trail. 1005 m of elevation gain to the top and 23.4 km back to the truck.
