Description:
Official TAMBA trail conditions report- June 1, 2023.

Summary- At least July 1 before any significant riding is possible.

Hiked two miles up the trail to scout for spring maintenance. Completely snowed in with 2-5+ feet of snow. Outside the state park boundary, I spent less than 300 feet walking on dirt (2 miles over the snow). Bottom parts of trail have lots of water flowing. Ground is completely saturated. Expect 3-4 weeks for snow to melt and ground to dry up before anything significant is rideable. Expect hundreds of branches and forest litter on the trail, along with lots of downed trees. Upper parts of the trail and the summit may not be reachable until late July. There is so much snow that TAMBA has no maintenance or tree clearing planned until July.

Lower Trails in Ward Creek State Park should be rideable in the first week of June. Once the trail starts climbing, expect deep snow and lots of water.

Stanford Rock will require a significant maintenance pass to make it rideable this year. Nearly 800 inches of snow fell here this winter. Please stick to South and West facing trails for the next few weeks. Please do not ride wet or muddy trails. This only causes more damage and maintenance for your TAMBA trail volunteers.
