Moon Ridge (lower) Trail Report - Very Dry - Jul 26, 2023

This is the worst trail I have ridden in a long time. It disappears into nothing constantly and has all these little spin-off trails that dead end after a couple of yards or in some cases 50 to 100 yards. It is covered in bowling ball sized rocks that are loose and when you can get a little speed there is a juniper branch to slam into your knuckles or scrape up your arms. There were two times I had to walk along with my phone out just to try and find my way back to the “trail”. I ended up bushwhacking my way across the face of the ridge to get back to the trail midway down because what I thought was the trail led me in the wrong direction down a steep grade for a bit. I would highly recommend to avoid the misery that is this trail at all costs.
