"Attention Trail users
Today, late this afternoon one of our contractors had his work vehicle damaged by a rock thrown at the windshield . This happened as a result of the person not respecting the barricade. The barricades are placed for YOUR SAFETY and the safety of the workers trying to reestablish the trail as we have been since the July flood.
We have been dealing with this for months , we have placed barricades and even trees used to stop users and it’s still a challenge .
We don’t close for fun, we close to get the work done in a safe and prudent matter .
This area between Bowater access road and Station rd will be closed for the rest of the week in the working hours and open on weekends.
We all need to do our part , we know the importance of this trail for the community it serves as well as users from other parts of the province. If you see a barricade and signage , please adjust your route or turn back , we are unable to provide other options.
Thank you for assistance in this matter ."
