Description:
the lower part of this trail has consistent deeply muddy areas. Avoid straight after any hard rain, etc. the piece with higher elevation remains fine, you can jump on right from hemlock trail and head toward old coal and you will be fine. It's the lower piece from Turkey ridge up to the Hemlock trail that gets flooded and immensely muddy.

Extremely deep mud and standing water (almost up to the bottom bracket) and most of the grass is overgrown and harbors ticks. view
