Description:
Report from October 8th, 2023
I just completed the back loop again today. I cut a while bunch of trees and marked the trail with flagging tape. The trail is passable again with little bushwhacking. Most fallen trees that aren't cut can stepped or crawled over. The logged area has grown in fast. There is a roughy cut trail through the logging area. The main trail to the shelter was great. Parks cut all the fallen trees and added a couple new arrows. I would still recommend using a gps or phone with the trail loaded on it it navigate the Ontario side. If more people did the loop, you wouldn't have to rely on gps. The trail is best done in the fall or spring when there is little to no leaves on the trees. It makes it easier to see the trail beneath the brush.
