Description:
The top 5km section of the 'Blue Tier 4WD Descent' trail has been closed to bikes by Tasmania Parks and Wildlife.

4WD vehicles have cut bush along this track and also caused erosion by driving on it so Parks have closed it. Not sure why it is also closed to bicycles. The sign up at the moment states that the trail is under surveillance. Officially the top section is now "walking track".

Riding up from the very bottom there are about 3 creek crossings where you will get wet feet. It is a very challenging and rutted 4wd track with some big rock slabs to content with. You either need to be very fit or run an ebike to get up.

I would not recommend in wet weather or after rain as everything will be very slippery.
