Description:
Trail now has "NO MOUNTAIN BIKING" signs up on the gate and a few "TRAIL CLOSED" due to Kauri die back signs. The Auckland Regional Park website has an alert stating the Waharau Ridge Track will be closed from 1st May 2024 - 31st August 2024 for maintenance. The online map still shows this track as a dual biking and hiking trail. Time will tell if MTB's will be allowed back on this trail!

Anti clockwise there are a LOT of stairs to climb. I went anticlockwise up, then back the same way. Some slippery clay where wet or after rain.... view

Wide track. Uphill is a slog. Downhill ride is fun quick blast. A ride I would only do once view
