Description:
Mostly dry but areas fed by springs did make some mud and slippery moss-covered rocks. Very clear aside from small pine tree partially blocking trail 3/4's way to summit (easily passable) and larger downed tree on the Higgins Bald trail near it's upper conjunction with Mt Mitchell Trail.
