Sep 30, 2024 Sunset Trail Trail Report

Moved a portion of downed tree off to the side of the trail that had fallen at some point. There were a few sections where you normally scramble up/down rocks that have become loosened from the lack of moisture and high use erosion so just be vigilant as you see those areas. Looks like the forest service had cut some deadfall away from the trail as well. Still gorgeous views, ample flowers, and not sure but do we get a little poison oak up there between 4-5k because some of the red leaves near the scrub oak look like they wanted to reach out and touch someone-? lol!
