Jan 01, 2025 Lost and Found Trail Report

 Starting from S. Airport road trailhead, the climb isn’t very strenuous, just long and steady until the saddle. The intersections are not marked so using trailforks is a huge plus. Much the first half of Lost & Found is rocky and not that enjoyable, but once the trail smooths out it gets flowy in some spots. Several spots have overgrown tree limbs. Turning around at Chloe’s Rest loop is a good option and it’s a great spot to take a break. Overall Lost & Found is a decent trail that could be much better if it had a group taking care of it on a regular basis, but with only local volunteers that’s harder to do. Stegosaurus trail is much more fun. Some areas feels like the Apache Wash trail system in North Phoenix.
