Mar 09, 2025 Arroyo Burro Trail Report

Been years since I rode this, seems rockier now after erosion. The poison oak is poised to grow andd encroach into the trail very soon. Almost completely enclosed in forest canopy. Overall it is a quite narrow trail tread. Top areas have lots of loose golf ball size rocks in trail tread that can bounce you around some. The steep chunky bits seem to have become chunkier. Near the bottom the main trail is a deep rideable rut with a rideable dirt spine next to it. This makes for fun riding! Overall more technical than Jesusita and less technical than Cold Spring. Black diamond rating seems fair.
