Mar 29, 2025 Buck Gulch Trail Report

No ice or slush left on the trail this late in March and trail was in great condition despiste the rain/sleet I encountered today. Downhill was fun with banked switchbacks and rounded water bars (if you start in the USFS). Two large granite outcroppings that are flat enough to ride are in the middle. The climb up is about 1000’+ from the pine pond that is a grind but with plenty of forgiveness in the turns to make it a fun workout. From the pine park lot, I think it’s most common to Mclimb Buck Gulch and loop Skipper and take Strawberry Jack back down the hill.
