Apr 17, 2025 Kitchen Sink Trail Report

Out on foot, looks like this trail is ready to go. Just one slight issue, at the connection from the main trail northbound onto the new section of the east don multi-path, by the new bridge. That actually doesn't exist as it is shown on the map, per se. I had put in a first cut at the solution over the winter, but within the past couple weeks it was vandalized, by, I presume the Bartley St vandal. Last known to be active back in 2019 or so. To the guy who who attempted to ride it yesterday and had to portage the middle, I apologize on behalf of the vandal. It will be re-benched in due course. i'm generally out mid-afternoons or later, and never in the past 7 years have i seen a plausible candidate for the vandal. It's someone who walks the trail on a semi-regular basis, and possibly with a dog. If folks who ride mornings know of any regular trail walkers, i'd appreciate a heads-up.
