Description:
I biked the entire horse shoe trail 5 days in a row this week, except for one or two DH sections in the middle that don't look marked ( *(like sidewinder). Leaves could be cleared on the blue but are rideable (like horsetrail DH) - I cleared a few sticks/leaves with my feet to see hidden rocks. No trees down, the bridges/wood planks are mostly in place. Watch out for the very slippery rock face that water crosses down the hill closer to the cop station in the bottom-left of the map - it's like ice but it's just rock, it took me a few minutes just to cross the 3 feet it spans - someone should dig out culverts to the sides so water can flow to the sides of the rock, it would be safer to cross. I didn't see exposed nails on any planks. Some muddy areas but it's mostly dry-wet, with ruts. The right side of tower loop is rutty, muddy and rocky, and you'd probably rather walk it? There's a few unmarked paths. Well maintained and fun. Remember to hydrate before, during and after, and maybe bring bug spray.
