Sep 30, 2018 Cutthroat Pass Trail Report

Incredible ride! The larches are prime, and the reds from the blueberries/huckleberries are exploding right now. Trail was dry but the cold overnight temps left quite a bit of moisture in the dirt from early morning dew. Lots of hikers coming up and lots of fresh horse shit (can they not just push it off the trail), even on a Friday. If you're going to do this I would time the descent to late evening or very early morning. If you hit that prime hiker up time of 10-12 on a weekend you're going to be stopping and saying hi quite a bit
