Slalomander Trail Report - Wet - Jun 5, 2025

Sorry. I really like this trail, but lets be honest, its not steep enough to dry quickly after a night of rain like what happened last night and most of the soil is attracted to holding water and when it does it is slimy and slippery and you need to grip the boulders and stones here to ride any of the steep jumps or rolls or drops. Many of the flat rock slabs are wobbling out of position and some of them are required to ride over to enter or exit lines of the trail. Ill try adding dry soil to the riskier sections of the trail soon because I think its a good balance of fun and challenging mtb features. Mostly the trail has compressed from winter but some spots are just risky after a little rain and need some dry dirt piled on. LOTS of tire tracks here running laps in the spring = trail damage.
