Choclitstarfish, Ali2pali whoever you are this week. The overgrown section that starts off Cypress bowl road has not been maintained for sometime. It hasn't been used since 2009 when Shit Connector was built. It appears this section is now active again with riders that are riding the new trail that exits at the bottom of upper Hogan. I would suggest that whoever built the new trail maintains the short section from the road to Firehose. As you know Shit Connector and Lower Hogan are trails that are maintained trails.

To note in case it wasn't clear: When I wrote this report I had ridden into Hogan from Shit Connector; the straighter bit along the top with the kickers was what I wanted to highlight in particular. Especially around the gap on that section, it was a bit treacherous not being able to see what was coming with the long grass over the trail.

The little bit of rain on June 19/20 really perked things up. I rode it on June 22 and it was very difficult to see the trail. I'd assume the rain coming the next couple days will exacerbate it further. I could be wrong, but I'd be surprised if it all just withered that quickly; the growth on the bottom of Roach Hit which sprang up at the same time has largely remained.

Yeah, this trail needs a dedicated builder, not some old has been that still thinks it's his. As the mayor of Cypress I give permission to whomever wants to.works on this trail.
