Description:
Trail is in generally good condition with a number of blowdowns. There is a decaying moose carcass at about 1.1 miles, likely succumbed this past winter. Interesting. For those that hkie to the summit, better views are a hundred yards further on at the helicopter landing pad and then, another 100 feet and you can see north up the lake.

 Another comment, don't go by the hike times for my hike. I was with an out of shape family member and it was my job to hang back. To the viewpoints mentioned and back is about 4.6 miles, 2 1/2-3 hours depending on your speed.
