Description:
I've done this trail 4 times over the years--last couple of years with different e-bikes. I like to go from Summit Park to Big Mountain and back. After up to the radio towers, the trail is vague, overgrown, and almost bush-wacky. There are some steep sections--about 24% grade leading eventually up to Bald Mt.--with its own sustained, rocky steep pitch to the top. I finally made it today without stopping on my new Amflow bike--what a beast! The rest of the trail to Big Mountain has a mix of steep areas, yet less risky with mostly just scenic beauty. Never seen anyone on this trail. Which is a contrast to the Big Mt. Mormon trail which is thrilling--fast and fun but often with lots of hikers and bikers right down to the parking lot. Then down the main road to Alexander Canyon and 6 miles back up to Summit Park--30 miles total. Memorable but tasking for sure. Whew!
