Description:
Upper-upper Black Mountain is not a bike trail...it's definitely hike a bike but it's a stretch at that. It's a difficult hiking trail with some rock climbs and long steep root climbs. Bikers need to take Maxwell trail off Clawhammer to get to upper Black Mountain and go from there which makes a great loop. I made the mistake of going all the way up Clawhammer which turned into a nightmare taking upper Black, which continues up and is super-steep for a hiker let alone pushing a bike.
