Description:
Following a temporary closure due to a recent grizzly bear encounter in late July 2025, most trails in the Corn Creek Marsh area of the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area are now open to the public.

However, a portion of the Wildlife Tree Wander Trail, located along the Kootenay River, will remain closed until further notice. This section is clearly marked on updated trail maps and is indicated at each gated trailhead and intersection.

As always, we remind all visitors to be prepared when exploring trails in the CVWMA, where a wide range of wildlife call the area home.
