Description:
My Phoenix lungs would not let me go as far as I wanted and I don't know what this trail SHOULD look like since it's my first time riding it, but what I saw was plenty of ruts and loads and loads of rocks in the trail.
The ruts were no big deal. The rocks in the trail were a non-issue climbing but on the way down I lost track of how many times I almost ate shit due to a tire unlodging a rock leaving me praying for traction somewhere.
It had just rained a little the night before so it was damp in some places which, with this soil, allowed a lot of mud to accumulate on my tires. By time I was done it had all been thrown free but on some of the climb I could feel it binding my rear wheel.
I don't know about the full trail but this appears to have a black diamond rating simply because of the steep climbing sections. I saw nothing technical about it at all.. Maybe there's some fun further in?
